Some of the things clients ask when they first reach out. If yours isn't here, that's fine — a casual conversation usually covers it.
Do you work with brands outside Cape Town?
Yes. Most of our clients are in the city, but we regularly work with food producers and shops in other parts of the country. Brand strategy and design work happens over video calls, and we plan photography and content shoots around your location. The main thing is that we get to see your product and space properly before we start.
What does a typical first project look like?
It depends on where you are. A brand identity usually starts with a strategy workshop where we talk through your customers, your story, and what makes your product different. From there we move into logo concepts, packaging, and the visual guidelines you'll use day to day. If you need content too, we plan that after the identity is in place so the photos and videos actually match the brand.
How long does a branding project take?
A focused identity project usually takes four to six weeks from the first workshop to final files. That includes time for you to review concepts and give feedback. If we're also producing a photoshoot or a batch of social content, expect another two to three weeks on top. We keep the timeline realistic so you're not waiting months for something you need soon.
We don't have an in-house marketing team. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Most of our clients are in that position. We build identities and content systems that are simple enough for you or a part-time assistant to run with. You'll get clear guidelines, ready-to-use templates, and a content calendar that doesn't assume you have a full marketing department behind it.
What if we already have a logo we like?
That's fine. Sometimes a logo just needs a refresh rather than a full redesign. We can work with what you have, clean it up, and build the rest of the system around it. The goal is to make your visuals feel consistent, not to throw away everything you've built.
How do we get started?
Send us a note through the contact page and tell us a bit about your brand. We'll set up a casual call to talk through where you are and what you need. No pressure, no lengthy proposal — just a conversation to see if we're a good fit. If you're curious about how we think about the work, you can also read about our approach on the support page.
